About The Self Close Corrosive Storage Cabinets
Designed for ease of use, the flammable corrosive locker meets OSHA and NFPA code 30 and UFC 79 standards for use in all industrial environments. The various widths allow placement of the flammable storage unit in multiple areas as needed to provide safe secure storage of flammables without compromising convenience of usage by employees. The unit is available in a single depth of 18” or a double depth of 34” with varying heights to meet the demands of any industrial need. All storage units are equipped with a flush mount lockable handle with 2 keys, adjustable leveling feet and LARGE red letters placed on a bright yellow background for enhanced visibility in case of an emergency.
Construction Specs
Starting with steel milled in the U.S.A. the safety flammable cabinets feature all welded double wall 18 gauge construction with 1 ½” insulating air space. The door is double walled using 14 gauge steel on the outside wall and 18 gauge steel on the inside. The use of heavy duty 14 gauge steel on the outside wall provides additional strength to the unit in the event of industrial mishaps. The door operates smoothly on 4” heavy duty weld hinges with brass pins and features a 3 point locking system and radius edges. Per OSHA and NFPA requirements the cabinet has a 2” leakproof sill to contain leaks, twin 2” flame arrester vents and grounding connector. The galvanized steel shelves adjust on 2 ½” centers to allow for a variety of container sizes. Additional shelves are available and sold separately.
