Rivetwell Boltless Shelving by Hallowell is designed to
maximize storage space and
minimize installation time. All components are engineered to attach snugly to one another without the use of loose fasteners. This unique design has rivets which are factory attached to all left-to-right and front-to-back beams. The rivets align with keyhole slots in the vertical posts. Once tapped into place using a standard rubber mallet, the units are tightly assembled to provide maximum strength. Versatile Rivetwell Shelving allows you to mix and match components to meet your unique application.
Hallowell Record Storage Units
Hallowell Record Storage Units are Double Rivet Units specially designed for heavy duty record storage. Units are available in 3, 4 and 5 shelf models in 42” or 69” widths. Units are available in heights of 60”, 84” or 108”. Shelf capacities range from 410 lbs to 1150 lbs. Please note that shelf loads must be evenly distributed.
Both Starter units and Adder Units are available for the Record Storage Shelving Systems. Starter Units consist of four standard angle posts, four left-to-right standard double rivet angle beams, four front-to-back standard double rivet beams per intermediate level and two front-to-back standard double rivet beams at one intermediate level only. Adder Units consist of two standard T-posts, four left-to-right standard double rivet angle beams, two front-to-back standard double rivet angle beams, two left-to-right standard double rivet beams per intermediate level and one front-to-back standard double rivet beam at one intermediate level only.
Shelf decking is not included with the shelving units and must be ordered separately. Record Storage Units are compatible with Hallowell Particle Board Decking or Hallowell Rivetwell EZ-Deck.
Particle Board Decking: Hallowell Particle Board Decking is industrial 5/8" particle board. Particle Board is a strong durable decking material.
EZ-Deck:Hallowell EZ-Deck Steel Decking is supplied in multiple 6” deep channel planks to meet the unit depth desired. All EZ-Deck steel decking is fabricated from 22 gauge galvanized sheet steel. 15” deep shelving will be supplied in two 7.5” deep EZ-Deck Channel Planks. EZ-Deck must be center supported and cannot be used on single rivet shelving.
About the Sizes
Record Storage Starter Shelves and Adder Units are available in the sizes listed below. Shelf capacity limits are also included and must be taken into consideration when ordering. Shelf capacity is increased because of the type of beams and supports included with that unit. These capacities are recommended by the manufacturer and should not be exceeded.

About the Materials
Double Rivet Standard-Duty shelving corner posts and intermediate uprights are constructed from 14 gauge cold rolled steel. The low profile standard capacity, low profile Shelf Beams are also fabricated from 14 gauge cold rolled steel. This low profile shelf beam is perfect when amaximum clear opening is required between shelf levels. All support posts, cross beams, and shelf supports are finished with a durable Parchment Powder Coat.
