The Vanguard lockers have been the industry standard for rugged, dependable design for decades. The box lockers are available in a wide variety of configurations and sizes and are among the
quietest on the market. Featuring doors with louvers, friction catch handle, and a powder coat baked enamel finish, they
withstand the daily use and abuse typically given to a locker. A practical storage unit where space is at a premium.
About the Materials and Finish
All locker body parts and shelves are made from prime grade 24 gauge mild cold rolled sheet steel free from surface imperfection, and capable of taking a high grade enamel finish. The doors are formed from one piece of 18 gauge steel. The powder coat baked enamel finish is electrostatically applied and available in 21 Colors. All locker body parts are finished in the same color.
About the Vanguard Locker Construction
Built on the unit principle - each locker has an individual door and frame, top, bottom, back, hooks with common intermediate uprights separating compartments. The welded door frames have mortise and tenon construction and are spot welded for lifetime rigidity. Features include:

- Latch clips engage the door frame at two points on all doors
- Special nylon glides fastened to the latch channel assembly and rubber silencers minimize noise

- Doors have two hinges
- Hinges are a full loop, 5-knuckle design
- Full channel formations are on the lock and hinge sides of the door to conceal and protect the lock bar and hinges
- Right angle flanges are on the top and bottom.
About the Additional Equipment Each locker has a
polished aluminum number plate attached to the door, 2-1/4" wide x 1" high, with black numerals not less than 3/8" high. If the starting number is not specified, 1 will be the standard start. The 4 Compartment wall lockers also includes a 45” long coat rack that can hang 16 coats.
About the Available Options
Box doors are punched for use with built-in key or combination locks. Door or side ventilation options are also available.
About the Available Accessories
Sloping Hoods are available with hidden fasteners making a flush exterior surface. Concrete Wall Anchors are recommended for use in anchoring lockers to the wall making them secure and safe. Padlocks and stainless steel strike plates are available for additional locker security if needed. We also have entire suite accessories such as continuous hood systems, fillers, and trim for recessed applications. Many compartment additions make Penco a comprehensive and flexible locker system.
