The Vanguard lockers have been the industry standard for rugged, dependable design for decades. The box lockers are available in a wide variety of configurations and sizes, including the double row, and are among the
quietest on the market. Featuring doors with louvers, friction catch handle, and a powder coat baked enamel finish, they
withstand the daily use and abuse typically given to a locker.
About the Materials and Finish
All locker body parts and shelves are made from prime grade 24 gauge mild cold rolled sheet steel free from surface imperfection, and capable of taking a high grade enamel finish. Doors less than 15" wide are formed from one piece of 18 gauge while 15" wide or wider are 16 gauge.. The powder coat baked enamel finish is electrostatically applied and available in 21 colors. All locker body parts are finished in the same color.
About the Vanguard Locker Construction
Built on the unit principle - each locker has an individual door and frame, top, bottom, back, hooks with common intermediate uprights separating compartments. The welded door frames have mortise and tenon construction and the cross frame members of 16 gauge channel shapes include intermediate cross frames that are securely welded to the vertical framing members to ensure rigidity . The double row configuration is a back to back with a shared wall. Features include:
Special nylon glides fastened to the latch channel assembly and rubber silencers minimize noise Friction catch 18 gauge door pull handles for padlock use Staple and lock hole cover plate Every door has a continuous door strike Two sets of 3 ventilation louvers Doors have two hinges Hinges are a full loop, 5-knuckle design Full channel formations are on the lock and hinge sides of the door to conceal and protect the lock bar and hinges Right angle flanges are on the top and bottom. Standard 6” legs on lockers. Front legs are integrated into the door frame Rear legs are adjustable for leveling and anchoring The patented die-cast Vanguard handle pulls out with a simple motion for opening. You can close the door with one motion of one hand, since the spring-loaded latch clips will secure the door even while the door is locked. About the Additional Equipment
Each locker has a polished aluminum number plate attached to the door, 2-1/4" wide x 1" high, with black numerals not less than 3/8" high. If the starting number is not specified, 1 will be the standard start. The Four Tier locker compartments also include three zinc plated wall hooks for 12" wide, and four wall hooks for 15" wide or wider.
About the Compartment Sizes Vanguard Lockers have an overall height of 66” including the standard 6” legs. The compartment sizes available are:

About the Available Options
Box doors are punched for use with built-in key or combination locks. The Vanguard lockers are standard with 6” legs but can be ordered without legs for recessed locker applications. Door or side ventilation options are also available.
An End Row Panel should be ordered to complete your locker – whether a single wide or a an entire suite.
About the Available Accessories
Zee Bases, Front Bases and End Bases are accessories that will provide a finished looked to your locker setting. Sloping Hoods are available with hidden fasteners making a flush exterior surface. Concrete Floor Anchors are recommended for use in anchoring lockers to the floor, making them secure and safe. Padlocks and stainless steel strike plates are available for additional locker security if needed. ADA lockers with lower reach points and appropriate symbols are available. We also have entire suite accessories such as continuous hood systems, fillers, and trim for recessed applications.
