Attractively organize and store personal belongings in Lenox Solid Plastic “Z” Lockers. Each locker is constructed from quality high density polyethylene plastic providing an ideal solution to dented, broken and rusted metal lockers. These durable lockers are available in a variety of size configurations. “Z” Lockers provide two levels of storage within the same locker; shelf space for storage of small items plus a side panel for hanging jackets and coats.
About the Materials and Finish
High density polyethylene plastic (HDPE) is highly impact resistant, eliminating dents and scratches found on common metal lockers. Each locker is impervious to moisture and will not rust, mildew, delaminate or absorb odors. HDPE is constructed with an even color distribution, resulting in a product that will never need to be repainted.
About the Construction
Doors and frames are constructed 1/2" thick and are welded to the locker box to provide a secure, rigid assembly. All doors have ventilation slots. Sides, dividers, shelves and bottom are 3/8” thick. Sides and back are formed from a single sheet of HDPE with fused corners. Top, bottom, and dividers are welded to the frame without metal fasteners or dovetail joints.
The full-length latch bar is constructed 1/2" thick and runs the entire length of the door, providing a continuous security latching system. The latch lifts open and returns to closed position after the door is closed. Each bar is secured to the locker door with stainless steel security head shoulder screws. All hinges are heavy-duty, full length piano hinges and are constructed of 16 gauge, type 304 stainless steel. Each hinge is secured with stainless steel security head screws and wraps around the edges of the door and frame.
Locker handles are constructed of injection molded plastic, are ADA compliant and operate with less than 5 lbs. of force. Each handle is secured through the latch bar to the door with stainless steel security head screws. The hasp lock is standard and is constructed of 12 gauge stainless steel. The hasp accepts all standard locks, however long shackle padlocks should not be used. Hasp is secured to the door behind the latch bar with stainless steel screws.
A double coat hook, constructed of black polycarbonate, is centered over the long side of the locker. The hook is secured with stainless steel screws. Coat hooks are standard on the 60" and 72" two-tier units.
