The 20 Computer Intelligent Laptop Cart is the technically advanced charging solution for business professionals, schools and universities. The cart uses a power management system featuring a microchip “brain” to securely and evenly distribute electrical current to 20 laptop computers without risk of battery or circuit overload. The Made in America cart contributes points towards LEED certification while providing flexibility in use and additional storage areas for required technological components used in conjunction with laptop computers.
About The 20 Computer Intelligent Laptop Cart
The storage cart features a perforated pattern on doors, side panels and shelves to increase air circulation thereby cooling laptops when is use. The cart utilizes an 18 gauge steel panel to segregate heat from the adapters allowing the cooler batteries to charge quicker. Constructed of 16 gauge “prime” metal with 18 gauge doors and panel s of which 25% to 35% is recycled content, the finish of the storage cart is applied using an electrostatic powder coat paint thus eliminating all VOCs caused by wet painting. The six 18 gauge interior shelves measure 39"W x 16"D behind which is an 18-gauge divider panel which separates the laptop compartment from the cable closet. Both front and rear doors overlap the top and bottom shelves to deter theft and are constructed of 18-gauge steel. The cable closet has two (2) UL listed, 10-outlet electrical units that attach inside the cart along the side panels and includes 21 laptop transformer shelves that protrude through the divider panel. The transformer shelves measure 3-1/4"D x 6"W x 3-3/8"H.
Advantages Of The Power Management System
The Power Management System monument, or Brain, mounts above the top shelf and uses a microchip to distribute power and decrease laptop battery heat and electrical stress. As batteries near full charge, the electrical current is reduced to keep batteries within their thermal limit and extend useful life. A push button cycles between three power modes and LED lights indicate what functions are being performed.
In round robin mode the Brain monitors the power draw on each electrical bank providing power to the bank with the most discharged computers allowing all computers to be charged from a single power circuit.
Turbo Mode directs power to one power bank allowing rapid charging of 10 computers. While Auxiliary Mode discontinues power to both banks and diverts it to the auxiliary outlets on the system monument for a printer or scanner. The Power Management System features a 12’ power cord and is controlled by an on/off switch.
The powered storage unit is secured with a resettable combination padlock and rests on four antistatic 5” casters two of which lock in place allowing for easy mobility of the computer laptop cart. The storage cart features two built in handles and is finished in a professional grey powder coat finish that enhances the appearance of computer labs, businesses, hospitals or institutions.
